This Evening Is My One Month Anniversary!

In a few hours time from now at 7:00 PM EST, it will be one month since my first time (Sunday, March 29th) of participating in a #ClapBecauseWeCare session.

On that evening, Julie Tersigni called out from her window after our #ClapBecauseWeCare session telling me that she had admired my garden which really lifted my spirits. She can be seen in the next image (wearing a pink hat).

This morning I had a nice surprise in my newsfeed when I learned she had posted a picture of my participation in last evening's tribute (and it can be seen in the image atop this entry).

Photos of her participation last night can be seen in the next series.

The latter of these featuring a woman using a pan as an instrument (something my dad did when he was a child) is someone you might recognize from a prior entry when I described how upon my seeing her Easter decor (seen in the next image)...

.... I was inspired to put up mine.

In any event, I'm so glad to have made Julie's acquaintance and am looking forward to lockdown lifts when I can have her and our clapping/cheering comrades over to my garden to celebrate what essential workers have done and to reflect on nice happening during this time of anxiety and sorrow.

As some of you may know, prior to this pandemic-related lockdown my ability to be as active as I normally am was curtailed when, on January 18th, during an assignment, I fell in Central Park and broke my Greater tuberosity.

I was in a sling for eight weeks after that and physical therapy was set to start just as the lockdowns began!

On another note, I normally hate pictures of myself but I appreciate the ones she has taken and a chance to see my garden* from the perspective of others.

Thanks again for being an essential neighbor by helping others find joy! Bravo, JT! Bravo!

MY BOOK SERIES

To reiterate what I've been saying here on Blogger, "During this time where many people are confined to their homes due to lockdown restrictions (re the coronavirus pandemic), these books (whose stories are set in my rooftop garden) are great to have around as a reminder that there is still so much beauty in our fallen world."
