CROCUSES ARE FEATURED IN V1 |
This past Tuesday here on Blogger, I mentioned that my white crocuses which share a home with my kiwi vines* are in bloom again.
Some of them can be seen in the images atop this entry. Both of these flora types are included in the first volume of my three volume series, Words In Our Beak.

Other white crocus flowers share a home with my Smoke Bush (AKA Continus Coggygria) as well as with the purple variety of that plant.

CROCUSES ARE FEATURED IN V1
The crocuses who are starting to bloom in my garden have caused me to think of this stanza in a Joni Mitchell song:
|
"...Just a little green
Like the color when the spring is born
There'll be crocuses to bring to school tomorrow
Just a little green
Like the nights when the Northern lights perform
There'll be icicles and birthday clothes
And sometimes there'll be sorrow...."
To read all the verses from Joni Mitchell's song and to find crocus-themed poems please see a 2012 blog post of mine.
