| MOURNING DOVES ARE FEATURED IN V1 |
MOURNING DOVES GOT THIS!
I don't want to be presumptuous and assume "we" need this or that, but I know I need to learn how to just sit still once in a while, especially during my personally challenging times and the challenging times in our world today.
Mourning doves who visit my garden are teaching me to keep my mind still, they are truly valuable visitors.
I share a picture (atop this entry) of a few of them (sitting in my place) in the hope others will also find solace when looking at these Mourning doves or at any mourning dove. Fortunately, because these birds are plentiful (at least on my continent) they are considered the most popular bird in North America. Because of this statistic, Mourning doves can likely be seen by hundreds of thousands upon hundreds of thousands of people.
Mourning doves, by virtue of their melancholy call, have been aptly named. The mourning dove’s call is a distinctive “wooo-oo-oo-oo" sound which may evoke a feeling of grief over the loss of a dearly beloved. But far from representing death, mourning dove symbolism can give us optimism.
Beyond their sorrowful song is a message of life, hope, renewal and peace; a much needed one at all times but especially now.
