It's Christmas Card Day!

I recently came across the Peanuts comic strip (posted above) in my TLLG FB newsfeed. Evidently it was originally published on December 2, 1972. Since today, December 9th is Christmas Card Day, I think it's a good time to share Woodstock's wisdom, as well as Snoopy's skepticism with his lesson learned.

Last year I posted an entry here on Blogger which provided info re this particular holiday, and I was feeling more optimistic like Woodstock seems to be in the strip posted above. However, at this juncture, I'm going through very bad times (in spite of the fact that progress is being made with the success of the hardcover version of Words In Our Beak Volume One,

and I'm identifying with what Snoopy seems to be expressing in the second frame of this strip. I'm not small enough in stature to go sit in my mailbox as Snoopy is doing (in frame four of the strip), but I will take his cue and remain hopeful. After all, we are in the season of Advent; a season where the emphasis is on waiting in hope with expectation.

ADDENDUM FALL 2018:

The digital versions of Volume One within the Words In Our Beak book series that are mentioned in this entry may only remain available for a limited time, but hardcover versions of Volume One, Two and Three can now be found wherever books are sold.

Additionally,  I have rendered some images from these books into other formats and they are available via Fine Art America (FAA). Some of my other photographs (Black & White Collection, Kaleidoscopic Images and the famous Mandarin duck who visited NYC) can also be found on my FAA pages.
