Does anyone happen to remember when a
House sparrow alighted on Bernie Sander's campaign podium in 2016? It was adoreable. Here's the
link to a recording of the incident in case you missed it and/or want to refresh your memory). My recalling that sparrow plus seeing all the Bernie Sanders mitten-memes inspired my idea to create a meme with him wearing my
cardinal-themed face-mask.
This mask is available via Fine Art America (FAA) and images of it can be seen directly below.
As for the meme, I'm most grateful to say that Chris Deatherage has created a cool-looking one (featured in the image atop this entry). He did this by using my image of Cam (left) and Mac (right) having a convo (while alighting on a railing that surrounds my garden.
Cam and Mac are featured in my three volume book series
Words In Our Beak (WIOB) where the stories are told in the voice of a female cardinal (Cam).
The goal of these books is to open readers to a simple understanding of the winged world and their environment. Set in a rooftop urban garden (mine) in New York City, my story is told in the voice of Cam, a female cardinal, who visits it. These books are directed to children and adults who are curious about birds, and want to learn about them from a unique perspective.
Now that almost every person (across the globe) must spend more time at home due to consequences of the coronavirus, my books have proven to be essential in bringing the outdoors indoors. This fact has led me to believe that these books would also make a great gift to give to someone for Valentine's Day, a holiday that will be here in less than a month's time.
On another note, the image of cardinals used in the aforementioned meme, has been rendered (by FAA) on to a note-card which is perfect to use for a Valentine's greeting.
FAA can also render the images on to an array of surfaces; including acrylic...
...canvas...
...metal...
...special art paper...
...as well as wood...
... for varying sizes of wall art.
Moreover they also offer framed images of my collection.
For more info,
please visit me on FAA but iust a quick reminder, Valentine's Day is less than one month away, so if you would like to get these items for your true love, please act quickly to avoid delays caused by shipping.
