The picture atop this blog entry is
featured in a 2011 blog post. At this time, I'm using it to illustrate the QOTD for my 195th episode of
Tuesday's Truths (which is falling after 2020's
Labor Day holiday that took place yesterday). The QOTD is being asked by Jewel (the
Muscovy duck seen in the next sequence of photographs).
Jewel's question is the same as the one posted in the storefront that is seen in the first picture included with this entry:
Why can't you wear white after Labor day?
And if Jewel spoke French, I think her answer might be the same as CoCo Chanel's who once said,
"Vous pouvez porter blanc toute l' année!"
After all, she wears white year around, as evidenced in these pictures that were taken in bygone years when Labor Day had come and gone. I suspect she will continue to do the same thing this year and beyond.
But even though Jewel may not speak French, she is wise in many matters, as you will see when you read her story in volume three of my book series,
Words In Our Beak.
