Lola, the
dog featured in the images atop this entry is someone you might recognize, dear reader, if you follow one of my
PY Facebook Page. I featured
pictures of her in an entry which I posted this past July.
I've seen her on a number of occasions since that time, and yesterday, I was honored to be invited to spend part of my afternoon with her, as well as her good friend, Parker.
He can be seen in the next set of pictures.
Parker is also someone you might recognize, if you follow my author
Facebook Page for TLLG; for I featured him
in an entry there this past September.
In any event, Lola and Parker belong to Elliot Katz (or he belongs to them); and yesterday I met all three of them in
Central Park, where the pictures of Lola and Parker that are included in this entry were taken.
The occasion for my hooking up with them was to show Elliot the hard-cover version of Cam's book,
Words In Our Beak Volume One.
We walked to
The Ramble and The Lake and Lola played by the creek while Elliot busied himself by reading the
Words In Our Beak Volume One (as seen below).
Parker stretched out alongside Elliot; as evidenced in the next set of photos.
However, Parker soon became interested in what Elliot was reading and he insisted that Elliot read to him, a sight that caused yours truly, and quite a number of those passing by, to grab the chance for photo-ops.
Mine can be seen below.
Parker wasn't the only creature who expressed interest in what Elliot was reading. A female c
ardinal began to observe Elliot (as evidenced below), she seemed to sense that her bird type wrote the book!
Hopefully these Central park cardinals will do some tweeting about
Words In Our Beak Volume One!
ADDENDUM FALL 2018:
The digital versions of volume One within the Words In Our Beak book series that are mentioned in this entry may only remain available for a limited time, but hardcover versions of volume One, two and three can now be found wherever books are sold.
Please click here to go to my blog post that provides details as to where you can get these books. Additionally, I have rendered some images from these books into other formats and they are available via Fine Art America (FAA). Some of my other photographs (Black & White Collection, Kaleidoscopic Images and the famous Mandarin duck who visited NYC) can also be found on my FAA pages.
