The 1st time I met a Cairina moschata... (Throwback Thursday)

It's September 20th 2018 and last year on this day, I took a walk to the 79th Street Boat Basin and encountered a Muscovy duck (AKA Cairina moschata), a bird type whom I'd never seen before and whose picture can be seen atop this posting.

The following Sunday I wrote about her in an entry here on Blogger. I subsequently learned this bird's name is Jewel and have written about her in subsequent entries here on Blogger.

My first meeting Jewel is on my mind this Throwback Thursday because I plan to include her in the talk (presentation) that I will be giving this November at Manhattan's NYCSE (on the UWS) which is something I announced in my most recent Tuesday's Truths series.

Moreover, the Muscovy duck is featured in the third volume of Words In Our Beak book series and I still hope to have out in this fall.

Chris Deatherage, who uploaded my images to FineArt America, designed my comprehensive website (patriciayoungquist.com) and edited/formatted this soon-to-be-released volume (as well as volumes one and two)...

... and I are expecting to receive volume three's proof within seven business days from this post.

FALL 2018 ADDENDUM:

Hardcover versions of Volume One, Two and Three can now be found wherever books are sold.

Please click here to go to my blog post that provides details as to where you can get these books.

Additionally,  I have rendered some images from these books into other formats and they are available via Fine Art America (FAA). Some of my other photographs (Black & White Collection, Kaleidoscopic Images and the famous Mandarin duck who visited NYC) can also be found on my FAA pages.
