Hello, dear reader, and welcome to week eighty-two of my Tuesdays' Truths series. Today, I want to tell you that it looks like NYC's groundhog might be right regarding the prediction she made this past Groundhog Day about an early spring was to be had in our area.
I say this because while I featured one of my garden-themed movies that features Ethel Merman singing Everything's Coming Up Roses in a recent entry on one of my TLLG FB Page, it seems, that at as of now in my urban garden that everything is coming up tulips.
This is evidenced by the five photographs atop this entry featuring the status of a tulip variety known as Elegant Lady Tulip, whose bulbs were planted with the help of Juan V this past November.
If you'd like to see how the bulbs looked at that time as well as how they appeared once winterized, I wrote a blog post that discusses this and published it on November 21, 2017, where the five photos atop the entry feature the same subject (Elegant Lady Tulip) at a different stage.
Also within that aforementioned entry, I featured images of the Pinocchio Tulip variety in his early stages of development and the next set of pictures features how he appears as of this posting.
Yet another variety that I featured in the blog post I've been referencing is the one we planted who goes by the name of Hot Springs Water Lily Tulip.
Here's how she currently looks in my garden as she begins to wake up from her winter's nap.
There are quite a number of photographs (taken by yours truly) of an array of tulip varieties featured in all the versions of Words In Our Beak Volume One.
