Disputing Fake News! I wasn't born yesterday. (Tuesday's Truths WK 69)

Hello, and welcome to my sixty-ninth posting for my Tuesday's Truths series. It's the first one in this series for the year 2018. In this entry, I want to alert anyone who might follow me on either one of my Facebook (FB) Pages (personal and author) that FB reported some fake news yesterday, which was New Years Day.

But first a bit of background re their error. Three days before the end of 2017, I received an alert in the form of an image (a copy of it is atop this entry), from the powers that be at FB, informing me that in 2017, "0 birthday wishes" were received by me, which is not true!

Please click here as well as here to refer to my FB postings in which I received birthday wishes both on "my" day and the day after, this past August, which is the month in which I was born.

However, ever since I set up my author page in 2010 or 2011, (I only set up my personal page two years ago) was FB chose a default birthdate for me of January 1, 1980; which would make me considerably younger than I am.

I won't go into detail about that (the year) as I never discuss my age, my weight, or how I spend my money, with anyone. In any event, I have tried on countless occasions to change the day and month of what FB has as my birthday, but it seems that they do not allow one to change the way their birthdate is listed.

Be that as it may, yesterday, I was very surprised to receive so many birthday wishes (in the form of FB comments as well as via FB messenger) from those who probably received a notification from FB that my birthday is January 1, 1980.

I admit that it was nice to know that people were thinking of me, especially since I'm going through such a difficult time, but, I'm now here to say that FB was at it again, reporting fake news, for I was not "born yesterday" (January 1).
